Student ministry in the summer
Hello, my dear friends and partners!
In this blog I want to share with you how God works through our ministry for students in Ukraine. I don`t know English very well yet, so there may be mistakes sometimes😄
From the end of May, the missionaries of our mission Campus Cru began training on searching support new partners for ministry. It required full involvement and dedication. I was a little nervous when I had to reach out to people, but God showed me a lot during this time. I thank God for giving me new partners and very encouraging meetings. True, this process is still ongoing for me. But I'm not afraid anymore.
Even when missionaries were mega busy with partners, our volunteers continued to serve. Every week, on Mondays, there was a Bible study for spiritually interested students, and every Friday, some entertainment event (volleyball, folk dances, board games, etc.). We studied the Gospel from Luke together. Each time, 6-7 searching students came to the group. Among them are those who went regularly.

In the meantime, we girls did not sit around and organized a trip to Lviv for female students with whom we had spiritual communication. At the end of the trip, we invited them to a meeting at the UBC church in Lviv, most of them were in the church for the first time in their lives. It is very cool that they quickly adapted and even sang along during the service. And then there was an opportunity to discuss the gospel that was heard. God himself has thought out everything))
Last year, I communicate with student, Yulia, who studied at KPI. She and I went through the Who Am I project, and then we met and discussed the Step Up (we talked about creation, sin and salvation). In the second semestr she left to Poland for studyng and we could not continue our meetings. Now she has returned to Ukraine and we had a meeting with her, we talked a lot about everything and I invited her to church. Yulia agreed and came, and again God made it so that there was a relevant sermon about enmity with God and about the first most important commandment to love God and have a relationship with him. Please pray for Yulia and her repentance 🙏 I do not believe that it is a coincidence that after six months we resumed communication with her.
From the my Church, we started a new wave of the "Yellow Boxes" project, now for military families. There were 23 people at the first meeting. And then 3 more women wanted to join this project. My friend and I were asked to hold a separate meeting for them. It was both very blessed and very painful because the stories of these women touch the heart. One lost her son in the war, and he was her only child. Another woman has a son, a young man of 23 years old, now in the front. The third survived the occupation of Kherson and took her children from there. And they were happy because they could just go out and talk. They say it is very difficult to survive all this. We now need to be open, compassionate, attentive to other people, support each other, this is the only way we can show people Christ.
Thank you so much, Viktoriya, for this update. We are in prayer for you and all our beloved Ukrainian staff colleagues as you gather these days for this amazing conference.
